Projet Story

While creating a plugin for European wines for a client, I discovered how easy it was in WordPress to register custom post types and taxonomies. Soon after another plugin was needed, this one to manage and filter events, each with a date attribute and custom registration form. This made me aware of registering and managing custom attributes for custom post types. Though seeing that both plugins utilized the same registration of a custom post type and taxonomies, it got me thinking. Why not make these one?

So Taxonomous was born! Or well the idea of it and now its development. The plugin is far from ready, but is making great progress. Custom post registration, unregistration and changing the name and attributes (all while not losing any data) works. Next is taxonomies, shortcodes, custom attributes and forms. I’ll keep this page updated as big ticket items are taken are of.
