Hi, I’m Angela Hornung. I’m a full stack developer, activist for the city of Hartford Connecticut and professional hoarder of video games. If I’m not on my Mac or Switch then I’m probably walking around or visiting a pub.
I started out as a Database Developer I at Eastconn in 2019 working under Paul Colella and Andy Depalma. My work primarily consisted of the eObserve online grading platform. Here I would learn how to intimately utilize the Laminas MVC Framework and jQuery. From data entry and sanitization/security to grabbing data to form large graphs to convey trends visually to educators across the state of Connecticut.
While at Eastconn I would be promoted from Database Developer I to Technology Specialist where my role would alter slightly. While a majority of my day was still the Fullstack development of several Eastconn projects including eObserve, I’d also be trained in ADA Web & Document Compliance.
Currently I work at Trusted Technologies, handling an array of client sites and servers as well as developing custom WordPress plugins as requested by clients. This introduction to WordPress plugin development would spark my first open source project, Taxonomous. The start of this open source project and the hoard of other developer websites would push me to create my own and now you’re here.
